Some days I think I should just stay home and quilt! Yesterday we did a road trip to a major city for supplies. At noon we made a quick stop at McD's for lunch and jumped back into the car for the rest of trip to city. Upon arrival, we hustled out of the car and into the store, where hubby started to tuck DD and DS into carts for our shopping adventure. I heard him ask DD what she was chewing...hmmm??? We'd been in the car for about a half hour and it is not her trick to stretch out lunch. DS can spend an hour with a mouth full...but not DD! She gave the usual kid response, nothin'! Sure...we believe that! Now...what are you chewing???? Gum! Oh...and where did you get it...I was so hoping the nice clerk at McD's had slipped a "treat" onto the tray...but no, that wasn't the case. I found it! Oh...where??? On the bottom of the table!!!! Spit it out...spit it out now...into my hand...boomed hubby. After a sniff and inspection...he declared it Spearmint! I gagged...for almost the entire afternoon!!! Now you all can truly appreciate why I love your blogs...and all the quilty tips and chatter...that help me forget...what kids do! ;-)))
Until next time, keep them in stitches!
