I couldn't resist...

...trying The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drumond's idea of baking dinner rolls in a cast iron pan. Used my mother's yummy dinner roll recipe, cut it in half and gave it a whirl. They worked!!! So well, that while they were cooling on stove top and I was downstairs throwing in another load of laundry...two disappeared!!! Don't you think they'd make a cute presentation at an informal dinner party? On The Pioneer Woman blog, she suggested using frozen bread dough...but I used a recipe I was familar with so I'd know if texture/flavor were changed! Still yummy!

Now I know the idea works, I'd like to try the addition of herbs, variety of whole grain flours, bacon bits or snips of sundried tomatoes...for a new twist!
