Start your Christmas Quilt now...

Looking back at the delightful and beautiful Christmas quilts posted, I am remembering a quilting tip I heard at a gathering.  The tip was to start at the beginning of the year (that is now!) and grab scraps of holiday fabrics/colors each time you test a new block.  After it is made and inspected...toss it into a box and forget it.  By the end of the year...you will have an overflowing box of assorted Christmas blocks...just begging
for assembly into a one-of-a-kind gorgeous Christmas quilt!  Instead of orphan blocks...you will be creating a keepsake...a new...and beautiful masterpiece to be enjoyed for years to come!!!!
Until next time...

  1. I like that idea as I always have good intentions of making christmas quilts and gifts but leave it far too late to do anything about it. Sounds like a plan.
