To all of my dear friends who entertained me with their quilting while I was in scramble mode...a big thank you! You kept my quilt bug and spirit alive! To a dear friend who posted IZ music video "Over the Rainbow"...to cheer me during some hard times...I send endless hugs!
The "moose" family has said good-bye to the Midwest and now is living on the east coast while daddy moose goes back to Christian law school. I've no idea where this may lead us...but I'm planning to enjoy all the new quilt shops and local history/scenery with the twins while we reside here (three years!). We've downsized to a newlywed apartment...and parting with so much hurt. I did slip a few things in (basic survival items...needle/thread/fat quarters...the usual!) and am able to still create a few lovely wall hangings or items.
My #1 sewing machine, a Phaff, must have taken a hit during the move...the shaft is frozen and I just can't seem to get it to function. I'm so in tears, but the budget can't afford expensive repairs right now...well, not as long as we still want to eat and put gas into the car! I'd come so close to selling my antique featherweight, but a friend talked me out of it. Whew, am I glad...as that little workhorse is now my sole sewing companion!
The ocean is close, history surrounds us...and there are plants/birds I've never seen before. I'm attempting to home school the twins...and that is going well....but needs some tweeking.
I was certain I'd land on the perfect way to help put my hubby through law school....but he nixed it! He hates ladies who wear printing on the backside of their britches....but I insisted that if I posted an ad on the backside of my jeans saying "advertise here"....and rented the space...with the premium girth of a quilter...I'd make a fortune! He did NOT agree! As a matter of fact he didn't even find it amusing! Husbands! ;-))))
Hopefully I'll soon have have photos and new quilts to share...meanwhile thank you for all the endless inspiration you've shared with me through your blogs...it kept me upbeat on days when all looked bleak! Until next time...Keep Them In Stitches!!!!
