Saturday Klosjes & Diane Phalen

My little family of klosjes is growing and I'm so excited! I wonder if anyone has considered quilt-as-you-go with these? Maybe groups of 36...and then start quilting and keep stitching the next batch? At least then you'd start to see a bit of progress happening. I'm also considering taking these first blocks and making a sweatshirt jacket with them...or a purse? So anxious to turn them into a real creation!

I received this Diane Phalen tin from a friend, who had it autographed by the artist just inside the lid. Isn’t it pretty?

Well, this is all for my post today... until next time... Happy Stitching!

  2. I really like them, too!
and you are right seeing them stitched together really brings out their charm even more. For me I was waiting to get a balance of all the colours I have been using before stitching them together. but I honestly cannot see a problem with quilt as you go. I think it could be such fun!
    Have a lovely weekend!
    'besitos' for the chicas,

  3. They are lovely and a real creation in itself! But you are right .... I started sewing rows of 22 klosjes together because I wanted to see how the quilt is gonna look. I now have 10 rows stitched and the 11th underway...when I roll-up the top it just looks like a quilt :-)
    Have a wonderful sunday

  4. They're gorgeous! Seeing all the klosjes on various blogs the last couple of days has me almost ready to get back at mine!
Never attempted a quilt as you go project. How would you join the sections you had quilted?

  5. I had the very same tin that I used for my quilt stuff... needles, pins, thread etc. It traveled with me along with my hand work for years. Sadly, the hinges broke one by one and I am back to my old plain tin.

  7. I love the klosjes! A sweatshirt jacket would look great. How special to have a signed tin by artist!
